Good morning BT!

OFF day for me...and I actually really took it off--slept in, didn't even do a walk.   Fully off days are necessary too!

Happy training today!  Anyone racing in February?

Good morning,

I decided I need to start running more; last month I logged 3 miles! (I logged 10 miles swimming) So this morning after the retirees clear out of the Y at about 11, I am planning on hitting the track there and putting in a few laps.

I may do a Valentine's 5k in a few weeks, but I don't thing the word race will describe what I'll be doing there. I did this one last year and was surprised at how hilly the course was. They were all small, but there's strength in numbers, and they whipped me.

Just strength training today. Military press and some other shoulder stuff. Got some new shoes tonight so I'll be testing them out tomorrow. Trying out some Nike Lunarglide 9. I have completed my last few marathons in Nike Free's. Looking to try something with a little more support and cushion out for a change.

We'd all be so confused if I changed it now after years of starting the thread

I have a degree in a foreign language and took linguistic classes, etc.

There actually isn't a set order for the day/month/year in English.  It is a degree F vs. degree C and a yards vs meters type thing.  Different countries/regions have adopted different systems and they are all correct and acceptable (but most Americans have never seen the date listed day/month/year and have no idea there are other accepted conventions).

Fortunately I got a Mechanical Engineering degree in college too so you can talk to me in kilometer or miles and I understand both.  You can talk to me in degrees C or Degrees F and I understand both.  I submitted all of my Spanish essay Day/Month/Year so I also can go both ways on the date.

I am currently working on a lot of North Sea Drilling Rig Projects with our Norway Offices and submit all of those documents day/month/year but we have a format key under the revision block that defines the convention (dd.mm.yyyy) so there is no confusion.

I am not sure if you noticed or not but the OP is an English teacher.
