Subject: RE: 2.9.18 Friday!!! 31 minute run including some hill reps. Not really training at this point, just keeping my mom company, since my dad passed away on the 28th (I am back in the US till end of next week ). She has been walking loops of a nearby park while I run them. I really need the break, fresh air, and outdoor time for my sanity. Way, way too much time spent sitting in offices, filling out forms, and on the phone lately. Hoping to get back to more structured training by the end of this month or beginning of next. Just having a hard time mentally....
I spent months training for 70.3 Worlds last fall and then got injured; went anyway and got food poisoning 48 hours before. Then spent the later fall and winter training for Challenge Wanaka Half, which was supposed to be next weekend. Healthy and reasonably fit now, but can't go due to family situation. Beginning to wonder if structured training is even worth it..... |
