Subject: 2.13.18 Tuesday Training

Good morning!

4:45am:  :45 minutes on the trainer

5:30am:  strength/stretch/core

Coincidence or not I'm not sure but I used the TENS machine last night and this morning everything feels so much better.  Maybe the TENS plus the strength/stretching I've been doing is finally all working together.  Plan to stick to the trainer again tomorrow and maybe ease back to running on Thursday...fingers crossed!  I miss running!

Karen, I remember when my brother passed unexpectedly how tedious all the paperwork, financial stuff was.  Endless hours of forms, banks, lawyers.  I'm sure your mom appreciates you being there to help her through all of it.

Good morning! It's been an eventful 24 hours.

6:30 - 30' VO2 max test (cycling) in the lab. Breathing into a machine while pushing watts was . . . different. I got really thirsty, and then hit a wall. Interesting stuff, though. Of particular note, my measured VO2 was pretty close (a bit higher) than the estimated VO2 that Garmin computes. I was a bit surprised that Garmin was close.

Yesterday, at least two rats were sighted in my workplace, but thankfully not in my office. There is a lot of consternation, justifiably, as rats are gross and typically are not active during the day. Fun times.

32 minutes of running in the park with 5X up the hill. More forms. It is truly endless!

3.7 mile progressive run late this evening. Finished up around 6:30 per mile for the last .25 and felt pretty good.
