Subject: RE: 2.17.18 Saturday Morning! Lately I've been experimenting with run/ walk intervals when I run on the indoor track at our local Y. My legs really hurt when I run much more than a mile or two on it, so I am trying this to prevent injury. This morning my total distance was 4.44 miles according to Garmin and it's pretty close to 4.40 miles according to the number of laps I did.
So today's workout was:
At Portage Y indoor track (1/15 mile ):
5 laps walking warmup
10 laps run
2 laps walk
9 laps run
2 laps walk
8 laps run
2 laps walk
7 laps run
2 laps walk
6 laps run
2 laps walk
5 laps run
2 laps walk
5 laps walk cool down
After the warmup I did a bit of stretching before I started the run.
After the workout, I took my 12 year old daughter to one of her friend's birthday party at a steakhouse. After the workout and a pretty good ribeye, I was out like a light for a few hours
