2.17.18 Saturday Morning!

We are sadly not sharing your beautiful weather. Cold and gloomy and keeps looking like it's going to do the "winter mix" thing. Supposed to be getting that sometime between now and tomorrow night; hoping we can get off okay tomorrow morning (down to SF and then back to Vietnam via Tokyo). Taking the day off so I don't generate dirty, sweaty laundry.

Lately I've been experimenting with run/ walk intervals when I run on the indoor track at our local Y. My legs really hurt when I run much more than a mile or two on it, so I am trying this to prevent injury. This morning my total distance was 4.44 miles according to Garmin and it's pretty close to 4.40 miles according to the number of laps I did.

So today's workout was:

At Portage Y indoor track (1/15 mile):

5 laps walking warmup
10 laps run
2 laps walk
9 laps run
2 laps walk
8 laps run
2 laps walk
7 laps run
2 laps walk
6 laps run
2 laps walk
5 laps run
2 laps walk
5 laps walk cool down

After the warmup I did a bit of stretching before I started the run.

After the workout, I took my 12 year old daughter to one of her friend's birthday party at a steakhouse. After the workout and a pretty good ribeye, I was out like a light for a few hours
