I have been using the garmin gsc-10 on my road bike for a few years with mixed results but I need a second one for my tri bike, are there any advantages to the new separated cadence and speed sensors using accelerometers versus the old magnet based ones? Reliability issues? I will mostly be using them for Traineroad sessions.

The new accelerometer Garmin speed sensor that's wrapped around the hub works perfectly for indoor riding (that's what i used on my winter wheel when I'm not using my CompuTrainer)

Can you even GET the magnet version any longer?

The accelerometers work fine.  No problems at all.

No problems here.

Plus, it's SO MUCH easier to use. You don't have to worry about knocking the antenna on the frame around and having 3 parts instead of 2. Just turn on the watch, sync, and start riding.
