was an admitted drug dealer when he was a private citizen and one was a horndog while a private citizen. One gets a media pass, the other a colonoscopy, for indiscretions made while NOT working for the people. What's that word I'm looking for here?

I don't really care if he porked a pornstar (although I am sure there are some that do), I'm just astounded at what a ham-handed job Cohen did at trying to cover it up. Can't believe this guy passed the bar exam. I don't see any legs to this story, except this guy Avenatti seems like a dog with a bone, he has a agenda, and he is smart. Not good for Trump.

There are no legs to this story, other than the fact that the media wont let it go. They have something, regardless of what it is, and they are running with it. Its gold for MSNBC, CNN, etc.

The media talking heads seem very frustrated that Trump's base doesn't seem to care. It was like they thought they had an 'aha! moment' or a 'gotcha' but the only people who seem to care are the people who already hate him anyway. I have no doubt that the billionaire Trump boinked a few women in his prior private life. I just hope he doesn't sodomize an 21 yo intern in the Oval Office with a cigar.

They still don't get it do they? When Team Hillary pulled out the Howard Stern tape to buy a little last minute insurance to ensure a landslide victory; Trump surged while Hilly sagged. Our media is a pathetic one way street (left turns only) reporting biased smears against anything republican/conservative, while completely ignoring dirt on the other side of the aisle, Pulitzer winning dirt in some cases, but we'll never know how deep some of these other scandals go because nobody looks at them.

I guess they feel a story about Trump buying sex, from a woman who got paid to have sex for a living, would enrage our conservative sense of morality? Here's the thing, it's not a big deal for me and millions like me. We're not a bunch of Bible bangers that look down our collective noses at 'sinners.' Truth is, I'm a reformed alcoholic that has absolutely no place judging the character of an alley cat. They believe anyone that votes R has a moral stick up our collective a**, stereotyped yet again!

They want a story? It would be pretty easy to wind me up with a media blitz detailing all the pork in the POS omnibus budget that just got blown through a supposedly conservative Congress and signed by an allegedly conservative POTUS. THAT is exactly what I was afraid Trump was and why I didn't support him in the primaries. I don't give a sh** what he did as a private citizen, I only care what he does while working for me. There's the story CNNMSNBCCBS, report it.

I heard this morning that Trump is considering using some of the military budget to build the wall in the name of 'national security'. I think this is hilarious! If he does this it will have the liberals screaming and crying foul faster than you can knit a puszy hat!

He could get away with this. The Army Corps of Engineers would be a brilliant choice to handle the project. Would we get an immediate concern from the democrats about diverting military funding if he did? Would they fall for it? Because the repubs could counter immediately with a bill to increase military spending. One of them there catch 22s.

If he actually does do this, look to see the media reporting on the sad state of the military. National defense will suddenly become THE priority. Stormy who? Trump is starving the troops….

Jeez, what do you guys want. Trump cuts his political teeth by championing the claim that Obama was not born in the USA. Then he makes the claim, time-in / time-out, that the media are dishonest scumbags who are the "enemy of the people". Also throw in that 2016 was an incredibly divisive campaign and Trump did little to help heal those wounds. You are enraged that the media is taking all this in, mixing it in with a bunch of unforced errors that Trump himself committed as well as leaks from the white house and subsequently feeding it back to us? Come on, if Trump was a Democrat (and I'm not so sure he isn't a Democrat plant), you guys would be screaming for impeachment by now.

As you all know I am no fan of Trump, but nor have I been an outspoken critic (I leave that to dmiller and Chinese). I recognize him as the duly elected POTUS. However, my advice to him would be to cut out the divisiveness and the tweeting and start acting Presidential. Because until he does that back pressure will not stop, and honestly, Trump does not have the smartest guys in the room arguing his case - the smart ones who would have clearly signaled they are unwilling to come to his aid. Meanwhile, the other side is fierce and smart.

I think your chain of events is out of order there. Just a bit, but makes a huge difference in perception.

Not right away......they had to get done crying like a bunch of children first.

That's my biggest memory from election night and the day after.....grown "men" literally crying over the election.  BWAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

You couldn't make it up.

They were in his a$$ from before day one, he invited them in and gave them no reason to leave. Look, the media loves this guy, he has single-handedly revived print media and cable ratings are through the roof. This is a winner for them and they going to ride it for all its worth. Obama was boring in contrast.

They called him Mr Tibbs....no wait, they called him No Drama Obama. Only problem is, the drama and scandals are just now beginning to leak out. And it may already be too late for Comey, Susan Rice, Loretta Lynch, et al, to stick a finger in the dike.

The fatality in all the TDS is the death of journalism. The non-stop, daily bashing of Trump has lowered people's respect in the free press. It's one thing to have the occasional op-ed but that seems to be all cable news does any more.

I know one thing.....it has only hardened Trump's base.....no matter what the polls and pundits say. (of course, they were SO on the money for the last election  )

The absolute BEST is CNN and here's a perfect example:

They were all gaga at the end of last week when the market tanked.......it was virtually an hour by hour of "the sky is falling" and trump's policies are killing the market and blah, blah, blah ad nauseam.  Today the market is up nearly 3% across DOW, NASDAQ, and S&P......and it's just crickets for Whiners Inc.  LOL

You are spot on that he's given them no reason to leave. The daniels thing is silly though. Completely irrelevant to anything happening today. Yet it's all the media can report on. Did he break any laws when he did the bimbo as a private citizen?

The media, Fox excluded, doesn't report on anything damaging to democrats. I'd love to see CNN do a story on how the DNC sand bagged Sanders. Pretty big story, but all they've been able to do is report on how Trump got the Russians to interfere with our elections. So far, absolutely no proof on that collusion angle, ZERO, yet they're still carrying the story for the DNC. We have a proven example of the DNC rigging our primary elections and they don't care. This is why Donald Trump is in office right now. The free press in no longer in the news business. Trump repeatedly calls them on it.

A CNN reporter walks into a neighborhood tavern and is about to order a drink when he sees a guy at the end of the bar wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat. It didn’t take an Einstein to know the guy was a Donald Trump supporter.

The CNN guy shouts over to the bartender, loudly enough that everyone in the bar could hear, “Drinks for everyone in here, bartender, except for that Trump supporter.”

After the drinks were handed out the Trump guy gives the CNN guy a big smile, waves at him and says, in an equally loud voice, “Thank you!”

This infuriates the CNN reporter. So he once again loudly orders drinks for everyone except the guy wearing the Trump hat.

As before, this doesn’t seem to bother the Trump guy. He just continues to smile and again yells, “Thank you!”

So the CNN guy again loudly orders drinks for everyone except the Trump guy.

And again the Trump guy just smiles and yells back, “Thank you!”

At that point the aggravated CNN reporter asks the bartender, “What the hell is the matter with that Trump supporter? I’ve ordered three rounds of drinks for everyone in the bar but him and all the silly does is smile and thank me. Is he nuts?”

“Nope,” replies the bartender. “He owns the place.”

As long as the Mueller investigation continues the Trump/Russian narrative will continue despite the profound lack of evidence. I don't think they will find criminal activity. And without an underlying crime, obstruction of just would be ridiculous to charge. Trump will just stay he obstructed a witch hunt.

I am looking forward to looks on the media's faces when Rosenstein briefs the finding of the Mueller probe and says there was no collusion or conspiracy with the Trump campaign and the Russians. The looks on their faces should rival that of election night 2016! Or the look on my face when Comey listed all the laws Hillary broke and then said they won't prosecute.

The Daniels story, and I'll admit it's thin, is in the fact that the NDA was signed only a couple of weeks before the election. It is tough to rule out that Trump didlin' a porn star would not have had some negative impact on the election results but this, like the Russian meddling, is unknowable. The other story is her lawyer, not someone you want to encounter in a dark alley. He will cut you and undergo no increase in his heart rate. This guy is Hannibal Lecter without the fava beans.

Lefty - The media is not doing this to break up the Trump folks, got to say if you guys ain't letting go of him by now then you will stick by his side until he's long gone. Heck, Ricard Nixon had like a 27% approval the day he left office. No, make no mistake, the principal benefit is in energizing the other side. See Trumps poll numbers with Independents lately? Pretty pathetic - thank the MSM.

The thing you guys are missing is that the bulk of the national media is rooted in the coastal culture. Absolutely the opposite of where Trump aims his sights. Like matter/antimatter and Trump helps fuel the reactors.

Yeah, so the Dem nominee wins the same states as Hillary.....who cares?

The anti-liberal sentiment is stronger today than it was 17 months ago in fly-over country.  You all didn't listen then and I can't see you listening now.....and that's perfectly fine.  I see the Dems are getting just about as giddy as they were in 2016 over upcoming elections.  Good.

In then end it'll be what it is.....but as I've said before, I believe a reckoning is inevitable.  This country can't survive as divided as it is.

I don't know if I would put PA, OH, MI, WI solidly in the Trump camp at present. It is all about voter mobilization at this time, few folks undecided about the President right now. For example, here in FL, a state that Trump won by 10,000 votes (~1.2%), there are approximately 7,500 pissed of Puerto Ricans that ain't be loving them some Donald. We don't have the same political atmospherics as when Trump was elected and we are likely to see this in the mid-terms play out. I do agree about the divisiveness, hard to see how it is bridged. Folks are pretty comfy in their camps.

Look, the media loves this guy, he has single-handedly revived print media and cable ratings are through the roof. This is a winner for them and they going to ride it for all its worth. Obama was boring in contrast.

The thing is, I see the Liberals as not being satisfied with anything except for ALL they DEMAND.  There seems to be little motivation to just get along.  For instance, I'm perfectly good with almost any socially liberal idea.  I'm good with gay marriage, I'm good with choice when it comes to abortion, I'm good with legalizing weed, etc. etc.  But I want as little govt. interference in my life as possible.  I want a level playing field on international trade, and I want illegal immigration reigned in.  And forget about taking guns, or limiting them in any way.  Of course the last few makes my position completely untenable to the left....or at least the left with the biggest mouths.  And you know what.....the more tired of their bullchit I get the more I'm inclined to just fight them on everything.  I'm tired of all the demanding and the protesting whenever someone doesn't get their way.  If this is going to be a fight for the country, then let's get on with it instead of leaving it to our kids.....I'm done listening to demands.
