Subject: RE: 4.23.18 Monday Morning! Congrats on smashing that goal Kim!
We (my 12 yo daughter and I ) did our first tri of the season yesterday. She stayed pretty flat on her time from last year; I think she gained 30 seconds on a 40 minute race (300m swim, 3 mile bike, mile run ). Not too shabby considering she hadn't been on her bike this year until the Saturday before the race. We rode 5+ miles that day to make sure everything was in good working order, including the rider.
My time from last year was pretty horrible. I had been working a ton of overtime with no days off for the month leading up to the race, so there wasn't much training going on. This year training was much better which resulted in an 18 minute drop. I dropped time in all three disciplines, and in T1 (T2 stayed about the same ). I'm still towards the back of the pack, but a lot closer to the middle than I was
Tonight is swimming with the Masters club. I think it is stroke night, so that ought to be fun. Coach is changing things up a bit now that we aren't concentrating so much on the recent state meet any more.
Have a great day,
J White
