Have a great day!

Well...I am excited to say that my training this morning involved sleeping in to 5:45 AM, skipping my long run, then doing all the farm chores for my wife so she could make a 3 hour trip to place a dog we have fostered for an animal rescue with a home.  The sleeping in was nice because I would have had to be up by 4:30 - 4:45 if I was doing that long run before milking goats and doing other chores.  The extra sleep and skipping the long run were a one day taper for a race tomorrow.  It is a 5K race.  It is my first one since last September.  I am excited to see see how winter training went.  :-)

I think taper is justified! Plus congrats on finding the doggie a home!

Just 3200m of swimming here after work. Rainy season seems to be getting started--it thundered and rained periodically from late morning on and was still drizzling by the time I started my swim, but storms held off and I was able to get the workout in.

Saturday here now and I am starting my last brick before Vietnam 70.3 next Sunday. "Only" two hours of biking and 15 minutes of running. That sounds really short now! Then have to get bike organized for transport to the race (using something like a local version of Tri Bike Transport).

Military press, core strengthening, and some jump rope for me this afternoon.

SRD for bike and running. Back in the saddle tomorrow.
