Subject: 5.24.18 Thursday Training

Good morning BT!

4:45am:  :55 minute run

5:15am:  upper body strength stuff

Yesterday afternoon:  1:30 run on some tough trails, legs still felt pretty fresh this morning--I'm taking that as a good sign!

One more day til Friday--this week is flying by!  Have a great day!

Good morning all!

Well after last night's masters practice, I think I have a new least favorite workout. For our sprint set last night we did 10 x 100s at race pace. The first four were on three minutes, but then the interval dropped by 20 seconds for each one after that. I did the last three continuous, as I am only good for about 1:30. I did do the first 6 at less than 1:35 each, but started to drop off quick after that.

Anyhow, total yardage came out to be 2250, which is pretty high for sprint days.

Today is more fence building; hopefully I can complete the north side today (less the gate; still debating on what hardware). Afterwards, I am wanting to get in the saddle and get a few miles in on the bike trail.

5:15 AM - 75 minute run.  This one did not go well.  It was about 25 sec/mi slower that what I have been doing.  I did it though.  That is the important thing.  Some days you just have to get through the workout.

Tomorrow I get to do it all over again with a 100 minute run, and I need to get in a 1500m swim before them too.

Started out this afternoon with some strengthening including squats and lunges.

Just finished up with a 47 minute trainer ride.

Tomorrow is an optional day for me. I'm not feeling too lousy so I may try and sneak in another run.

Can't wait to run some trails, but I have three weeks of end of school, moving, and bureaucratic chaos to get through before that!

Here, 3000m of swimming. Again it looked like it was going to storm, but it moved off elsewhere after a few claps of thunder and some drizzle, and I was able to get it in.
