Subject: Resistance training
Hello,
I am 50 and I am about to compete in my first triathlon! On top of my Swim, bike and run sessions I have been doing some resistance training 3 x per week. Anyone have any expertise as to how long I should continue resistance training before my race? Should I be stopping altogether? Tapering off? Any suggestions would be great!

I wouldn’t do anything crazy 2-3 days before the race that may leave you sore on race day. Other than that, I would carry on with lifting.
