140.6 miles start to finish.  ??

It’s all about the training.  As soon as you can devote 8-10 hours a week, week in and week our, and 20 weeks of 12-17 hours, (and you can afford the race), you’re ready to sign up.

Hey Bolder!

I had the same question and have been researching it online. Im a Canadian so I hope to do Ironman Canada in the future. Here is an Article I found that I really liked. https://brodiesfitness.com/the-secret-to-life-and-ironman/I plan on paying for my race soon and preparing for next year!! Let me know if you end up doing it as well

You could easily complete one in 2019.  You're already at half-Ironman distances, you just need to put those together.

Many training plans are 30 weeks, and start with shorter distances.  You could "intercept" one at the 20 week mark.  Also, there is an old (mid 2000s) training plan floating around called "13 weeks to a 13 hour Ironman".  Search for it.  A plan like that, with your fitness, would let you finish in 13-15 hours.  Not a rock star performance, but you'd finish.

13 months sounds like ample time, but the key is the right plan and sticking to the plan.

Great intentions fall apart when the basics are not covered.
