No. We have three different kinds of chickens. I believe the Ameraucanna is laying the green ones.

Just made a scramble and tasted for the first time. They're a little better than store eggs, but no marked difference just yet. I imagine when the eggs and the chickens get bigger, the taste will come through. Color of the yolk was a bit darker yellow than store bought.

I ate about 1/3 of them. The 'gas bubble' woke me at 2 AM trying to work its way out of my system. It felt like I was going into labor.

Coming to and end now.....this is the last of the big tomatos and the 3rd picking of jalapeno.  I'll get one more cherry tomato crop of 75 or so.

I've always been genetically lucky with cholesterol......low no matter what I eat.  I take full advantage!!

Sitting here are my desk snacking on pickled green tomatoes. I tried some a couple of days after we put them up and they were ok but not that great. Now they are awesome! Guess it took some time for the garlic and dill to penetrate/blend.

Ever stuff a little cream cheese in there too? Not sure if it would work with the dove meat, but cream cheese jalapeños poppers wrapped in bacon… mmmmmm.

Oh yeah....and pepper cheese too.  This time we just didn't.  The truth is, I've eaten 3487 jalapeno poppers this summer......I need to lay off the cream cheese. LOL

They were gone in about 4 days.  One of the twins started putting them in her tuna salad and that was all she wrote.  I enjoyed them in a couple bloody mary's and on a bacon burger.

My free ranging girls. Got 5 laying hens about a month ago. They looked cooped up in the coop so I made an add on room. The still looked cooped up so we started letting them free range. They come back to the coop in the late afternoon. My hope is they will eat lots of ticks and fleas! We get 3 - 5 eggs a day and they are awesome. They yolks are much bigger than store bought eggs an they just have a rich taste.

They’ve been scratching in my raised beds so maybe they will eat bugs and seeds and kill some of the weeds.
