I'm looking at upgrading some old HED tri spoke to a FLO 60/90 combo. The HEDs have never 'felt' super quick. What's your opinion on the FLOs and what others have you run? Anyone running the FLO disk.

I've been racing on Flo with a 60/90 combo for 3 years now. My prior 6-7 years in this sport I either raced on stock wheels or using a rear wheel disc cover that I built. The wheels fit a little more snuggly in my Cervelo bike frame and along the brake track than my normal training wheels, so there's less wiggle room if you will. Other than that:

Do I "feel" faster when I race with them? Yes.

Do I go a full 1-2 mph faster with them? No.

Am I a bike aero nerd looking to squeeze every ounce of speed from what I'm riding? Eh, kinda, but not really.

Am I happy with my purchase? Yes.

I have some FLO 60/90s
I have zero need for them.
My guess is the math and physics works out pretty good if you're into that and looking for an edge. Over the others? I can't tell ya.
They're cheap (relatively speaking).
But they look cool and I get to use gig/busking money I earn from one hobby for my other hobby. It's like "found money", so I don't feel bad spending it on something I don't really need. My take was that if it got me through the bike leg of my IM and saved me, not so much time....but a few heartbeats, it was worth it. And we had some wind that day. Serious wind.

I don't know if they make me faster. I think they make me look cooler. And that's what counts, right?

I was able to match the sticker to the frame accents. Red. Red is faster.
I just got some red Balegas for a race this weekend. I'm expecting to PR.

Thanks Mike. I'm going back and forth with either A) buy the FLOs and get a RETUL fit.....OR..... B) Buy a new FUJI IA10 w/ Di2 for under $4k.....still would have to get fit and put the old HEDs on the new bike. Really just a matter of $$$

I've been running a pair of Flo 60 carbon rims for a few months now. No issues what so ever, they've been great, though I've had to tighten the screw end a couple times after I noticed some play in the freehub/cassette. Cleaned out the freehub the other day and it was pretty easy too.

Why 60/90? Can the savings be meaningful enough to offset how bad that looks? You can always get a wheel cover and then have a matching rim depth set.

I did quite a bit of research prior to buying my set of 60/90 Flo wheels and came to the conclusion they are the best bang for the buck. Two years later and I haven’t changed my mind.

FLO are great wheels for the money. Yes, there are other wheels that are a bit faster and lighter, but they all come with a healthy (or unhealthy...) price tag.

You're getting brand new wheels with good build quality and a company that stands behind their products for the same price as 5-10 year old used wheels. You can't beat that.

If you're looking for the last few seconds and have deep pockets, then ENVE 7.8 or Zipp 808NSW are awesome wheels. For a disc, Zipp Super9 is hard to beat.

Newer 2nd Gen FLO's are sweet, faster than the older G1.  Have to know that their data was with a Conti GP4000 tire as that is what they were designed with.

I had a Gen1 pair of 60/90 (alum/carbon fairing), no complaints, pretty much bullet proof.  Newer version are Al/CF or all Carbon so can take your pick.  Used sets always pop up on eBay, that's how I bought my old set, $650 delivered with a lightly used set of GP4000, latex tubes and veloplugs.  Sold them 3 years later for the same price!
