I was swimming on my back most of the time. One guy in a wave or two behind me even asked if i was all right. People in this sport are very friendly.

Comments:

This was my longest ride to date (I was underprepared), and my butt got really sore sitting on my seat for so long, but I had a good ride.
Transition 2

Comments:

I slipped and fell on my butt bc of the wet pavement when dismounting my bike. Nothing but a hurt ego though.

Congrats on your first race! I'm sure that little bruise to the ego won't hurt anything!

Congrats on your first race! Too bad the weather wasn't *perfect* at the start of the day... but the clouds were nice and parted long enough for us to race!

Yea, I have done longer rides that this (I typically do 40 miles on Sat's)... but gosh my butt was hurting something bad too! HA! Maybe it was going around?

good job on your first race!  the swimming will get better with time, so don't sweat it.  You had a strong bike and run, so be proud!
