Just go down to the passport office with your birth certificate and get one!


War story time. I was about 19 and planning my first international trip (other than the road trip to Mexico that didn't require a passport). I wrote a personal check to the US Passport Office....I'm thinking it was between 50 and 100 bucks. I got the passport in the mail but the check never cleared! I kept the checking account for another 3 years and the check never cleared. I remember thinking it was no wonder our country was in debt!
