Looks like the next best thing is coming out, Conti GP5000. Faster, tougher, and a tubeless version too.

I read this the other day. The combo of decreased rolling resistance and increased puncture protection over the 4000 has me intrigued. I raced on Vittoria Corsa G+ but was always worried about flatting.

A little pricey but I’d like to try the tubeless version on the road wheelset for my gravel bike. I’ve used the 4k’s for years and have had a few flats, maybe more than I would have expected given the tires reputation. Of course roads in MI are terrible and probably don’t help.

Basically the same retail as the current GP4k which can always be found a lot cheaper. Hopefully the price will come down a bit over time.  I was thinking the same thing on using the TL version for my Gravel bike.
