I am a 49 year old guy who has been weight training for a couple of years. I want to incorporate more cardio with the goal of losing some weight while preparing for a triathlon. I have two questions (for now).
1. What constitutes a Clydesdale As a division in a competition?
2. What is a “fat tire” division? Does that refer to the bike or to me?

Thank in advance.

Welcome.

Depends on the race, but "Clydesdale" typically is over 200 pounds (sometimes 220).  Don't be deceived, some Clydes are super fast.  (Think 6'5" and 201#.)

Fat tire usually means riding on a mountain bike rather than a road/tri bike.
