This girl was cruising along beside us when her calf popped up too! Quite a treat to see up close like that. Again, trouble with the sizing here. You can download the smaller looking images from here and get a closer look at them.

Man.....a month ago the flu beat us up so bad I can't even tell the story. My twins actually came home from college just to be sick here.....and then infected my wife and I........and we didn't have enough lysol to keep up. LMAO

If you go to medical they will quarantine you to your room but might also compensate you too.

We're already home. The wife augered in last night, so we're both sick. Since I'm feeling marginally better, I get to take care of her and all the critters.

At dinner the other night my mother-in-law was telling us about how they were told, back when she was a kid, that there would be no more trees by the late 1900's due to all of the building that was taking place. I guess there have always been people who think their time on Earth is the most important time in the planet's history.

I once replaced beef with beans as my main source of protein and I produced more methane than an average cow! Mrs Rogillio threatened to kick me out of the house! So I put down the beans and grilled me a T-bone.

Top pic is a berg littered with penguins. Then this berg drifted by with just a single chinstrap penguin on it. He just stood there and watched this ship with people waving at him go by. Seal and whale. It was interesting to watch the ice go by and see what might be laying on top of it.

This is the ice island (3rd pic) I mentioned in my earlier post. 14X5 miles. Can't see all of it, nor can you really see the South Shetland Islands because it obstructed view!

I should've asked. Had to be in excess of 200 feet. Scaling things is next to impossible without any trees or man made stuff to reference. That's the front piece of it and if you blow the pic up, it extends on further back. That's where the 15 miles comes to play. Still, we sailed past that sucker for quite some time. Your eyes are seeing it, but the brain wasn't comprehending the scale, if that makes sense. The white stuff in front of it isn't whitecaps on waves, they're icebergs.

I spent 3 years in the desert in the Marine Corps.....I understand completely, which is why I asked. That is CRAZY!!! Of all your pics, that one made me stand up and just stare at it. THAT would be something completely awesome to see. I'm officially jealous.
