Subject: Training Peaks LTHR and 10K TT HR
Hello everyone! 44 year old triathlete here currently focused on marathon training. I wanted to get your thoughts about Training Peaks determining my LTHR and what my average HR was doing a 10K time trial yesterday. The training peaks reported an LTHR 5 beats lower than the average HR of the 10K. Which is more accurate to use to determine HR zones?

Thanks,
Roland

Depends on the data you send to TP.
It's more mathematically derived from all your workouts synced to TP, so if the data is not good over time, you get biased results.
If segments cut out, the sycn wasn't perfect for EVERY workout, it could cause issues.

In theory it's a good number, but you have to review every workout and make sure the data is accurate.

I personally like the stand alone fitness test that allows a lot more certainty and ignore the TP LTHR.
