when you change the battery on your power meter you have to calibrate every time. i recently changed the battery and calibrated, it will instruct you to spin which i did and tells me the calibration is complete with a torque of 0.60. I was not sure i did it correctly so a few days later I tried to calibrate it again, however now it will not ask you to spin but to unclip from the pedals and press calibrate. which will always give you a torque of 0. i am not sure if this is correct. also now i see a logo flashing on my garmin fenix before a workout which looks like 2 pedals in vertical position
The vector 1 and 2 has 2 "calibration" steps
When you install the pedals or replace the battery you need to "reset the angles". This is the first step. This is when it asks you to spin the cranks. At one point it sets the angles than then goes to step 2 of calibration which is where it shows you the torque value
The next time you turn things on, unless you've moved the pedals or removed the battery, you don't need to reset angles and you get the calibration screen that shows a torque value.
