Subject: 05.10.2019 Promontory Point Day Friday! I grew up in Utah, and May 10th meant that my mom was coming to take me and my sibling out of school to go watch the reenactment of the driving of the Golden Spike at Promontory Point to complete the first transcontinental railroad in the USA. Later, I worked with Latino church congregations is the San Fransico, California area and learned that May 10th is the fixed date for mothers day in Mexico. So while we are celebrating with the mothers in our life on Sunday they are already celebrating in Mexico today. I had some friends get married on May 10th and one of my cousins was married on the 10th too. I also remember AP tests in Highschool being on the 10th. So... to commemorate one of the most wonderful days on the calendar I did a 60-minute work out on the bike trainer this morning at 5:45 AM. The weather is going to be perfect for many of you today. Yesterday was just a tad too early in the year and tomorrow will be a hair too late in the year. Have a great day BT. |
