Lunch swim was fine, felt like heavy lifting.

Swimming always feels like heavy lifting for me now! 1800 yard swim around noon; 45 minute run this afternoon. Managed to do it without getting rained on--precipitation finally took a break after almost three days straight!

50 minutes on the trainer this evening with around 12 of that being low cadence work. I really enjoy zwift but felt that my ability to climb hills in my last race wasn’t as sharp as last year. Hoping some big gear work and low cadence work will address that.

I'm also trying to work some of that in every week or so. Strength has always been my limiter on the bike. Unless the hill goes on for a really, really long time (as in several miles), I'm not as good a hill climber as I should be for my size. Also need to get better at handling shifting intensities on a hilly course. I tend to struggle more with fatigue and cramping on both ride and run when I can't maintain a fairly constant power level, which is next to impossible on a seriously hilly ride.
