Comments: 1tth start at this event. Never had a wet race - until this year! Very heavy downpour 5 mins before the start when everyone is standing on the start line waiting in just shorts and singlet. And it was very windy at the same time so it was a relief to get running and warm up. Fastest time here in 4 years and best ever age group % result. UPDATE: Australian Masters Marathon Championship - Bronze Medal Queensland Masters Marathon Championship - Silver Medal What would you do differently?: Not much on race day.  Post race
Warm down: Beer, walk back to apartment. What limited your ability to perform faster: Followed training programme pretty closely. Think I just need more mileage (especially 'fast finish' long runs) to help reduce fading late in race. Event comments: 11th time at this race. Up at 0400. Coffee, muffins. Banana in apartment plus one just before the start.
None as weather was ordinary and wanted to not aggravate back.
