Training cycle is now completely in the bag.

Today was a 15 mile ride, had to have new end bar shifters put on last weekend. Today was to stretch the legs and stretch the cables. Loaded bike back into the truck to get tightened up at the shop and pack all my gear tonight.

It's funny how this daily release helps my mind clear and prepare for the activities of the day.

It happened to be the fastest three 5 mile segments, with my lowest avg. heart rate, that I have recorded on the bike.

Maybe training and tapering work.

I have never ridden in galoshes though, will be an interesting test on Sunday.

This is a busy day/week.  Last night we had a fireside for some of our church youth groups that I had to help with so I missed going to the County Fair with my family. They judged the crafts yesterday.  The 4H categories get cash prizes so they are always very competitive.  I haven't seen the results yet by my wife said that they go a lot more ribbons this year than they have most of the past years.  I went straight to help with the fireside from work and didn't get hope unit after 9 PM.  Then I had 12 poultry that I had to wash and groom for the county fair. I was finished with all the birds at about 1 AM.   We are checking in poultry, rabbits, and goats today for the county fair.  Today is the first day of the 10-week home school co-op.  I will be teaching Spanish to 10 3rd-6th graders over my lunch break every Thursday for the 10 week period.  So I felt I needed more than 4 hours of sleep to be ready for my first day as a Spanish teacher so I didn't get any early morning workouts in today.  I will try to take an extra hour at lunch today to get a 30-minute run in.  I am sure I will be at the animal barns until dark checking in animals this evening so 30 minutes after the Spanish class is the best I can hope for today.  I don't know you people train for Ironman races.  I struggle just to work in 6-8 hours a week or training.  I need an 18-mile run and a 3-1/2 hour bike ride on Friday/Saturday this week.  I don't know how those are going to happen.  One of my daughters is having a birthday today and we have plans for that and a full day at the fair on Saturday.

At least life is more fun when you are busy.  I couldn't stay sane if I ever had free time to worry about.

Good luck Steve!

Busy day for sure Curtis.

I hit the pond for a little over one mile swim this afternoon. Took a rest day from SBR yesterday to finish up painting the cabinets and installing new hardware.
