Subject: 01.16.2020 Thursday Training
Back home and back on the bike trainer.

Hit it pretty hard this morning, with a nice warm up followed by 15 hard in the big boy ring and 15 minutes at 90+rpm in an easier spinning gear. Mixed up the last 15.

21 bike (60 minutes)

My bike gear smells awful from so much indoor training. Last time I tried to fix this issue I put my shoes in the dishwasher (without the in-soles). The toe box was plastic and melted...uggh.

I guess I am just the smelly kid.

Today was an 8-2/3 mile run.  I went back to the run-walk-run today (run a mile walk 30 sec).  I didn't do as well at pacing the run walk run as I did last week.  This week the first three miles were a lot faster than my continuous running pace.  Then I positive split the next four miles.  To be fair the wind picked up after about 3 miles.  It felt like about 15 MPH winds and running into it really drained me.  My average HR was 4 BPM higher than the Continuous run I did last week and was 7 sec/mile slower.  So the run-walk-run still hasn't made me faster.  It hasn't taken any stress off my running either according to the Heart Heat readings.

A friend of mine recently got a peloton bike. Did a 10 minute test ride on it today and honestly, was very impressed! Too rich for my blood still, but impressed nevertheless. Did some push-up and pull ups as well.
