YO YO YO...

Good morning here in the dungeon. Got 1:13:02 on the trainer, this equals out to 25 miles in trainer speak.

High cadence for the first section (92+), mid range for the second (82+), bib boy gear for the third (72+), mid range again and then split the last in 1/2 between big gears and mid range. Great workout.

Intensity is building, two weeks out from starting my 18 week training program.

Hopefully a swim later on tonight.

Just a 2-mile run this morning.  I applied to be a pacer at the Dallas Hot-chocolate 15K a few months ago and got a call back a few days ago letting me know they had a spot open up. So...I will be the 8:00 min/mi pacer and practices my two miles at 8:00 Min pace this morning.  The first mile was a 7:59 which was perfect.  Starting mile #2 I was going down the biggest hill on my 2-mile loop.  I knew the I would be coming back up that hill when I got to the bottom so I tried to keep my effort going down the hill and up the hill even with the first mile, but was at about a 7:40 min/mile pace as I was nearing the top of the hill on the way back up. I eased up a bit but still was about a 7:50 for the second mile so I need more practice.  :-)  

I got my first swim of the year in yesterday so even though it was only a 2-mile run this morning my training time in the last 24-hours didn't drop. It just is split in two ways.  The swim was awesome.  I love getting in the pool and swimming.

3.3 mile run. 1.25 mile warm up followed 4, 3/10th of a mile repeats at 5k pace. Had to squeeze in the run in a tight window so figured I’d run it fast.

Managed a short, slow treadmill run in the evening. Trying for some consistency before worrying about building distance or speed.
