Happy Hump Day,

Hit the trainer early and dark this morning, got my 60 minutes at a comfortable but challenging pace.

My cycling legs are coming around, can't wait for spring and clean roads.

In other news, we are getting a new dryer delivered today which is very good news as I have a stack of dirty exercise clothes that are starting to grow legs.

Have a good one!

5 miles at 5am for me. Ready to tackle the day!

PS - what kind of trainer do you have? I will be in the market for one myself for next winter. If you don't recommend the one you have, any suggestions? Not looking for anything that's top of the line, just need something that'll get the job done.

Cheers.

A measly 30mins on the treadmill so far; 40 more mins when I get home..

In re. trainers, I recommend a 'smart' trainer for the power metrics. Kickr Core is what I'm using.

Vuk,

A basic fluid trainer and a speed and cadence sensor will get you up and running. I use a Kurt kinetic trainer that I bought used for $140. It’s a tank and has decent road feel.

Did a good bit of strength training this afternoon and a bit of hill work. 60 minutes of comfortably hard effort on the trainer with a few pickups here and there to keep it interesting. Happy humpday.

40:24 min 1:51 min/100 meter 2,187 yards in the pool

Longest swim of my short triathlon life and keep shaving seconds off of my 100 meter time. What used to be dread heading to the pool is now excitement. Rest day today and 80 bike tomorrow.
