Are all races canceled for the most part? I am doing the High Cliff Tri in Wisconsin at the end of June and haven't heard anything about the race. Emails have not been returned and was wondering if anyone has heard anything about their races.

thanks in advance and hope everyone is staying safe

Of the two that I was signed up for:

Ironman 70.3 Santa Rosa May 9th - POSTPONED, new date TBA
Ironman 70.3 Coeur d'Alene late Jue - on schedule, for now

I'd say many if not most events for May are being cancelled / postponed and June is iffy

This is from the major, not Ironman multisport organizer here in the mid-Atlantic (USA Cycling has also permits through May 3rd as of today):

Dear Kinetic Multisports Athlete,

3/18/2020 – As the COVID-19 crisis continues to evolve, the CDC recommends cancelling any event with more than 50 people in attendance over the next 8 weeks to limit the spread of COVID-19.  Per CDC guidance and in cooperation with our host communities, all Kinetic Multisports events scheduled prior to May 15 are now cancelled.

This is an unprecedented situation and as athletes we are as gutted about this as you are.  We want to be as flexible and get back to racing with you as quickly as we can.  So, we have made options available for all athletes that are registered for Smithfield (4/4), Rumpus in Bumpass (4/25), Smith Mtn Lake (5/2) and the Kinetic Triathlon Festival (5/8-5/10).  The available options have been emailed to all athletes that were registered for the first 4 events.  So if you were registered please check your inbox for your options. These policies will be in place for the duration of the CDC event advisory.

We’ll be ready to race with you when the dust settles.  Continue to stay healthy! GoKinetic

The most surprising thing I've seen is that the Peachtree Road Race (our 4th of July 10k which is always between 50000-60000 runners) is moving forward like it's a go. I think it's going to be at best very, very close.

I had a marathon on March 15th. They were pretty good about keeping us informed in the week prior, and then they made the final call to cancel it about 3 days beforehand. A lot of people were pissed but most of us seemed to take the opinion that it was in everyone's best interests. They were really quick and transparent about issuing refunds as well, so they did a good job.

Long time no see! Sorry about your race. I don't have anything planned till July and August (since I spent most of last year injured) but now not even sure about those.
