Well....let's not pretend like herd immunity is not a thing. Certainly it is. How it applies here is unknown. That's my biggest problem with this deal. Too many unknowns...media is king. We all know that's a problem.

Absolutely it's a thing and it's inevitable. We will need and use it. The question is when and how. We will learn from Sweden and to some extent the Netherlands.

The Ontario government gave their projections and the entire cycle of the pandemic (up to 2 years). They made a point of saying there are still a lot of unknowns. But it was a very good, scientific, non political presentation.

They also said they were taking into account the economic models. They made a point that the economic consequences of a full-on pandemic were shown to be greater than the cost of a shut down.

They believe technology (geo location apps) and different forms of social distancing will be part of the next wave.

I the public at large will be much smarter in the future and take more precautions such as washing hand and avoiding sick people and isolating those must vulnerable. Maybe sick people will be more inclined to self isolate and call in sick to work.
