5:45 AM: 10-mile run.  I have a training plan but haven't been following it very closely lately.  I was doing 8-1/2 miles runs twice a week all year but after Friday, March 13th, with the full moon,  the schedule became clouded.  So I have waffled back and forth between doing solo time trials and virtual races and going back to foundation base work.  Two weeks ago I focused on building volume.  Last week I focused on time trials.  This week I will focus on Volume again and next week I will be back to time trials.  The long slow week alternated by short intense weeks is something I have experience with from one of the marathon training plans I used a few times 10 years back, so I have experience with this and should be able to keep progressing.

I was supposed to go 11 on the treadmill but stopped at 8. TBH, even that was a bit of a struggle. Try and make it back tomorrow, I guess..

My run was a ball buster. I am glad that I didn't have the ground moving under me at a certain pace...But, done is done!

My Brother did two Ironman Races back in 2002 while he was a University Student.  He used to love to hog the treadmills at the University Student Gym.  I think he said there was something like 2-3 treadmills and that they were all taken so a guy asked him how much longer he had.  He said he had another 60 minutes and the guy said something to the effect that no one can run on a treadmill for 60 minutes.  My brother said he waited for about 20 minutes, probably just to wait for him to stop so he could say, "I told you so". When My brother was still going and showed not signed are giving up the guy made some type of a fit say when are you going to be done and stopped out of the gym in a tantrum.  At the time I didn't think I would ever be able to make it an hour on a Treadmill.   I have buckled down when that was my only option and got 6-7 miles in but 10 miles on a treadmill is not easy.  Good work on making it 8 miles.

My best was 15 miles in a Hampton Inn somewhere in Virginia.

It sucked, and the chaffe was unreal. But the brag factor is cool. hahahah
