The band - not the COJ preferred kind I'm sure.  Wink     I used to think these guys were a  goof  w/ songs like  "If  I had a Million Dollars"  etc. but I've come to think they are just having fun w/ the whole thing. l expose my kids (10 & 12) to all kinds of music and we've become quite fond of BNL. Love the new song "EASY".  They are coming to Radio City and I was thinking of making it my kids' first concert.  Curious the general opinion of BNL and specifically how they are live.

Goofs?  I love "If I had a million dollars" that's classic stuff.  Actually that still makes in my shuffle's playlist somewhere...

Have seen them a couple of times in concert.  I'd have no hesitation making this my kids first concert.  They are very talented and very entertaining.

Been a fan of the boys up the road since '91 after the release of the 'yellow tape'; the earliest and best versions of million dollar song and Brian Wilson.

We've seen them many times, indoor and outdoor venues, and have taken our kids along with us - they are a blast live, really playing to the audience. They are absolutely as kooky as you think they might be, and have alot of fun onstage. I actually like them better live now than a few years ago, and remain a kid-friendly show.

My kids (11/8) love listenting to BNL "If I had a million dollars."  Other good songs as well.  Perfectly good for 10-12 yr. olds.

Ditto the above!

I'm originally from Canada and remember when they were first coming out. I've been to their concerts before and it is truly a treat! They are entertainers. It was a great show. Clean. Lots of fun.

I agree - I think a lot of their songs are a little cheeky and just them having fun, but musically, they are extremely talented and their range and various styles are amazing.

What concerts have you been to where the audience throws Mac and Cheese at the band because of the lyrics? (Ok, they don't do it anymore - by request of the band b/c projectile boxes of Mac and Cheese hurt, but they do donate the food to the needy!)

Seriously, great band. Great music. Catchy. Fun, fun concert.

An excellent band to see Live.  I'm not happy I'll miss the concert in Austin this year. Cry  I saw them in Chicago way back in '95, I'm sure they are even better now.

Very excited to see them.  My husband and I are going to see them on 11/4 in DC.  Mike Doughty is opening, who is a lot of fun to see live.  Can't wait!

"If I Had A $1,000,000"

If I Had $1000000 (If I Had $1000000)
I'd buy you a house (I would buy you a house)
If I Had $1000000 (If I Had $1000000)
I'd buy you furniture for your house
(Maybe a nice chesterfield or an ottoman)
If I Had $1000000 (If I Had $1000000)
I'd buy you a K-Car (a nice Reliant automobile)
If I Had $1000000 I'd buy your love.

If I Had $1000000
I'd build a tree fort in our yard.
If I Had $1000000
You could help, it wouldn't be that hard.
If I Had $1000000
Maybe we could put put a little tiny fridge in there somewhere
([Talking:] We could just go up there and hang out.
Like open the fridge and stuff, and there'd be foods laid out for us
With little pre-wrapped sausages and things. Mmmmm.
They have pre-wrapped sausages but they don't have pre-wrapped bacon.
Well can you blame them. Yeah)

If I Had $1000000 (If I Had $1000000)
I'd buy you a fur coat (but not a real fur coat that's cruel)
If I Had $1000000 (If I Had $1000000)
I'd buy you an exotic pet (Like a llama or an emu)
If I Had $1000000 (If I Had $1000000)
I'd buy you John Merrick's remains (All them crazy elephant bones)
If I Had $1000000 I'd buy your love

If I Had $1000000
We wouldn't have to walk to the store
If I Had $1000000
We'd take a limousine 'cause it costs more
If I Had $1000000
We wouldn't have to eat Kraft Dinner.
(But we would eat Kraft Dinner. Of course we would, we'd just eat more.
And buy really expensive ketchup with it.
That's right, all the fanciest Dijon Ketchup. Mmmmmm.)

If I Had $1000000 (If I Had $1000000)
I'd buy you a green dress (but not a real green dress, that's cruel)
If I Had $1000000 (If I Had $1000000)
I'd buy you some art (a Picasso or a Garfunkel)
If I Had $1000000 (If I Had $1000000)
I'd buy you a monkey (haven't you always wanted a monkey?)
If I Had $1000000 I'd buy your love

If I Had $1000000, If I Had $1000000
If I Had $1000000, If I Had $1000000
I'd be rich.

They are awesome live.  They always put on a longer than usual show, and always a lot of fun.  If you buy the album on their website, there are a couple of neat options to get a little extra (14 extra tracks) on the MP3 download, for only 17.99...Have fun at the show...don't forget to sew a flag on your backpack...

Great Band - Awesome Live!

I only saw them one time, but I do not have them come to Milwaukee too often. I have seen a few different bands - Jimmy Buffett (10x) Dave Matthews, LLCoolJ, James Taylor, Horde Fest(greatest experience - in short first row, center stage saw Lenny Kravitz, Blues Traveler and Rusted Root - AWESOME) But after seeing BNL - they always end up back in my player. My favorite song right now is Who needs Sleep. Sort of describes my life from training to work to family to little rest.

They are definitely worth going to and their songs are generally kid friendly.

ENJOY I'm jealous!
