 Swim
Comments: Good swim. I have 1swim speed and I don't how far I'm swimming. High gear is the same as low and always the swimming equivalent of walking. What would you do differently?: Swim faster,  Transition 1
Comments: Good transition had a honey stinger gel. Everything went smooth. Michelle said my transitions were fast  Bike
Comments: Good ride I pushed hard into the headwind and paid on the run. I don't know if I would change it. What would you do differently?: I had a good ride. A little slower than I wanted, but I'm happy with the effort. I really didn't answer the question. Transition 2

Comments: good run. I gassed a little and did a walk/run. Started just walking aid stations, but ended up walking more than that What would you do differently?: I'm a little disappointed in myself, I didn't make any friends on the run. I need to work on that Post race
Warm down: Space blanket and a much needed shower. I slept all the way home (3 hour) drive What limited your ability to perform faster: I pushed a little too much in the headwind and paid for it on the run. I'm also glad to see you didn't have any mechanical issues, or over heating issues, no post-race med tent etc. You were certainly overdue for a smooth race. Your warm-up looks a lot like the kind I do

I always find it interesting when people talk about making friends on the run - I never do. I think I am stuck in the pain cave too much to want or be able to make friends. Or maybe I'm just too anti-social!| 2022-09-14 12:56 PM in reply to: #5282742 |

Shave/shower. Cinnamon Raisin bagel oj and coffee. Arrived at transition around 7. Loaded up my nutrition and fluids. I made sure my bike was good and tires inflated. Chatted up a few neighbors. Put on my wetsuit, found a bench and relaxed for about 20 minutes.
I took a shower and sat on a bench
