Hindu squats http://www.bronzebowpublishing.com/HinduSquat.gif
explode up and jump as high as you can, flowing back down into squat

i cant find info on the web for the homocides....not sure if thats what they are really called but thats what the trainer calls 'em. i i have seen it in football movies
basically, you start standing, jump up with your hands over your head, drop to the ground on your belly, raise arms and legs like superman and hold for 2 seconds, the back up to standing, repeat fast..

Not to be really mean, but I'd classify this as dumb.  Going to exhaustion on multiple sets like that is opening yourself up for severe injury.  Some may disagree, but why would you do that to yourself.  Going to exhaustion is what you "MAY" try at the end of a workout, the last set, but doing it again and again weakens and fatigues the muscles and decreases the benefits you will see on each subsequent set.

 Just my .02.

this is why i am not continuing with this trainer. we are locked in a 3 month contract that ends next week.....it feels good to have someone push me and he has "made" me do things i never thought i could do....but most days i suffer through this kind of crap mostly because i dont want "wimp out". plus i am very competitive and train with my hubby, a cop, mr. cardio, and if hes doing it, then i feel like i have to keep up.
this trainer used to be the trainer for the swat team and is a adventure racer so the whole time he says stuff like....this is what adventure racing is like....this is what your tri is gonna feel like....suck it up and get used to it heather...

scares the sh*t out of me.

the last couple of weeks i realized that this may actually be doing me more harm than good. i have several nagging aches and pains, especially my knees, that i can directly attribute to this kind training. my inner voice has been screaming STOP THIS CRAP for a while now.

now my waking HR is 12 points higher! 60 to 72. great.

so i will have to agree with you velocomp and thank you for your honesty.

I think those are called Burpees. You can also incorporated a pushup into the mix. Those are a great overall body exercise and sure to wipe you out if you do enough!

That's not a cardio routine either. Except in the sense that your heart is pumping.
