Total Time = 1h 13m 48s
Overall Rank = 812/2800+
Age Group = 35 - 40
Age Group Rank = 92/144
Pre-race routine:

Had my pre-workout meal
Event warmup:

I did some stretching.
Swim
  • 12m 45s
  • 547 yards
  • 02m 20s / 100 yards
Comments:

I started in the back of the pack, but ended up near the middle. I guess that is good; although, I never felt as if I settled into a good pace or stroke. I am not use to the traffic of other swimmers; I'm sure I created sometraffic myself. I have alot of improving to do in open water swimming. Overall I was suprised with my performance. I almost be beat my personal best for 500 yards.
What would you do differently?:

I don't know, practice in the open water more. Maybe I need to start closer to the front. i will have to get some advise.
Transition 1
  • 04m 25s
Comments:

I was pleased with my T1 time.
What would you do differently?:

I will approve with more practice.
Bike
  • 32m 35s
  • 9.32 miles
  • 17.16 mile/hr
Comments:

I was disappointed with my performance on the ride. Definitely did have my race leggs, nor even my training leggs. It was a good learning experience riding in a competitive environment.
Transition 2
  • 03m
Comments:

I was happy with my T2.
What would you do differently?:

Not sure what to do to improve. I am sure I will find areas to improve as I complete more races.
Run
  • 28m 28s
  • 3.11 miles
  • 09m 09s  min/mile
Comments:

I was hoping to have a time of +/- 27 minutes. That didn't happen. I will have to work a little harder in training. I carried a water bottle to keep cool since I overheat so easy. That was not nessesary. I negelted to remember that the was water stations on the route for that.
What would you do differently?:

I will not bring a water bottle.

Nice race! I wish I would have clocked my transitions so that I didn't have them lumped into my bike. We were in the same heat and didn't even know it. To bad we didn't meet up! Congrats.
