Comments:

Got off course after going around the first bouy, oops...got my rhythm about 1/2 way through the swim...
What would you do differently?:

warm up:)
Transition 1
  • 03m 19s
Comments:

I'm proud of this transition, it was a really long run to the transition (they broke the transition into 2 parts, one was the run to the transition, the second was the actual transition - 2:00 and then 1:19)
What would you do differently?:

I was happy with it, I actually really ran the transition this time
Bike
  • 39m 56s
  • 12.43 miles
  • 18.68 mile/hr
Comments:

Good bike (though I think it was shorter - I didn't start my bike computer until about a mile in, and my reading said 11 miles and something)...anyways, look down speed was about 18-19mph, which was great...I cheered everyone who I passed and everyone who passed me...so that was fun:) Me doing some hills really pays off on the flats!!
What would you do differently?:

Was very happy with the bike, a good job!!
Transition 2
  • 01m
Comments:

Best T2 with a change of shoes EVER!! A minute, wowsers!! That's good for me! I had put the quick tie thingies on my shoes the night before, they worked really well!
What would you do differently?:

Nothing!
Run
  • 25m 40s
  • 2.75 miles
  • 09m 20s  min/mile
Comments:

I ran the whole thing, was feeling bad at first cause my transition was so fast, but I really focused on just getting through it and it worked, I settled down, and did it...
What would you do differently?:

go just a bit faster, I could have!
Post race
Warm down:

Drink water and gatorade and banana

What limited your ability to perform faster:

nothing, it was a good race...

Event comments:

Really nice race, will do this again next year! PS-I thought I'd gotten second (I got a silver medal)...but apparently they messed up and I actually got third, oops!

Q-Yes, it was Moss Park! LOVE that location, I'm definitely doing the tri's there again next year, I think that it was my favorite racing venue of the 5 that I've done!! What did you think of it, how did you like the run in the beautiful beautiful shade!!

Lucy-I did have fun, I don't know, seeing the races on Saturday, it really put into perspective that it wasn't about doing **well** it was about finishing and having a great time...this time I did that, I cheered on everyone, if they were passing me, or if I was passing them...I had a much better time because of it!!

PS-Those shoes ties are absolutely AWESOME!! For me, a 1:00 T2 is incredible!!
