Comments: Time at mile 1 was 8:44, mile 2 was 17:55 and then finished at 29:17. I started my final kick early b/c I thought the finish line was around a turn but it wasn't...I was about .3 mile off. What would you do differently?: More speedwork? Post race
Warm down: Stretched since my left hamstring felt tight. Drank two bottles of water and ate 1/2 banana. What limited your ability to perform faster: No idea but I am tired of running this same SLOW pace. I was expecting to finish in 27:50-28:10 and I thought my pacing was good but my third mile was much slower and I felt like I was pushing hard. Event comments: The race was great. It was a Grand Prix race so all of the best runners in the area ran in it. I thought I was going to do better than I did so I was pretty disappointed but I am not going to give up. I will conquer this running and finish around 27 minutes...no matter what! Last updated: 2006-09-21 12:00 AM

Woke up at 5:30am and stretched a bit. Ate a banana and drank some water.
Stretched some more and jogged around the neighborhood. Headed to the race site at 7:00am
Stretched and ran about 3/4 mile prior to the race. Felt pretty good as it was not too hot.
