Total Time = 1h 24m 46s
Overall Rank = 113/149
Age Group = 30-39
Age Group Rank = 20/26
Pre-race routine:

Labrada Protien shake mix and lots o'water.
Event warmup:

Lots of Stretching.
Swim
  • 15m 5s
  • 754 meters
  • 01m / 100 meters
Comments:

Average swim. I only had a 2 min/100 pace kind of slow for me. Oh well can't change that time, I'll have to train harder and get faster for the next one.
What would you do differently?:

A great swim for me. True to form the last half was much faster than the first.
Transition 1
  • 02m
Comments:

I got my jersey rolled and stuck above my shoulders, but I managed to give away most of my swim advantage.
What would you do differently?:

Practice putting a shirt on while wet. Wear my race jersey more than just the day of the race to get used to it and it get it broken in more.
Bike
  • 34m 24s
  • 12 miles
  • 20.93 mile/hr
Comments:

Course was great except for Euclid Dr. The road was a pothole slalom.
What would you do differently?:

Make the turn for the transition area better on the last lap.
Transition 2
  • 01m 28s
Comments:

A very smooth transition considering I had the extra of putting on a full knee brace for the 3-mile run.
What would you do differently?:

Not much a pretty good T2.
Run
  • 31m 39s
  • 3 miles
  • 10m 33s  min/mile
Comments:

One of my worst feeling runs. I don't know the split time yet but everyone I passed in the water and on the bike ran right past me.

From what I was feeling I must have really cooked on the last mile to end up with 10.5 min/mile!
What would you do differently?:

Hydrate better on the bike.
Post race
Warm down:

Don't really remember. I think I blacked out for a while. I did get a free massage and that helped a lot.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I actually performed faster than I expected.

Event comments:

I will definately do this series next year.

Great job!! You totally blew away your goal of doing it under 1:30!!!  Can't wait for the splits!  We'll have to chat more at the next race we both do.  Perhaps the Antheim Holiday Tri.
