Overall Rank = 204/344

Pre-race routine:

Half of power bagel, 8 oz. of water.
Event warmup:

about 10 swim strokes...
Swim
  • 08m 41s
  • 400 meters
  • 10s / 100 meters
Comments:

All of the women started in one wave, it was CRAZY...I got hit, punched, strangled, run into...lots o people everywhere...that was the largest start wave I've ever had...
I was bad the first 200m (I hadn't swum in a week and half!), and there were so many people everywhere, I kept breathing water cause everyone was kicking/splashing...
Better in the second half...I "warmed up"...
What would you do differently?:

Learn to swim faster so that I can be in the front to begin with, then I wont get smacked around:)
Transition 1
  • 02m 45s
Comments:

I actually ran the transition, which was good...but at transition, I wasn't that fast, put my helmet on backwards, oops!:)
What would you do differently?:

Put my helmet on right the first time:)
Bike
  • 32m 22s
  • 10 miles
  • 18.54 mile/hr
Comments:

Great when I was going straight, always going over 20...BUT, too many turns, that made my average come down a lot...
What would you do differently?:

Learn how to turn fast!
Transition 2
  • 01m 23s
Comments:

Was ok...
What would you do differently?:

go a bit faster...
Run
  • 23m 23s
  • 2.5 miles
  • 09m 21s  min/mile
Comments:

Good for me, I passed people, which is good...my mom took a video of me running, oh my gosh, I look so funny when I run! my arms and legs move, but I dont "bounce" at all...it looks weird!!
9:20/mile isn't too bad...my normal avg. seems to be 9:30...last 2, I have gotten 9:20, so I'll take it!
What would you do differently?:

learn how to run right - maybe it would help me go faster?
Post race
Warm down:

Walk around, breathe...eat a banana, eat a bagel...

What limited your ability to perform faster:

my fitness in general...considering my stress recently, I had a WONDERFUL time!!

Event comments:

:) last of the season...i loved it all!!

Great race- you are very fast!! Sorry you got knocked around in the water, that always seems to happen to me too. I just hit back. Congrats on being 7/13 in your AG. That's aweseome.
