I think I have Anterior Compartment Syndrome and would like to have a specialist look at it. Does anyone know of any good specialist in the Milwaukee/Waukesha area? I appreciate the help.

Here's a link to a Doc I saw in the spring for a bad ankle sprain. He was recommended to me since he specializes in sports injuries. He is actually the team doctor for the Marquette B-ball players. I don't know if this is what you are looking for but maybe it will help.

I don't know of any good docs in Milwaukee, but if your insurance will cover Dr. Mark Timmerman at Dean Health on Fish Hatchery Rd, I recommend you see him. I was having some achilles issues this last year and he was great to work with.

Good luck :-)

Thanks for the replies guys! I actually had Dr. Darin Maccoux written down as a possibility, so this reenforces that option. Thanks again!

Dr. Christopher Evanich in Milwaukee is an orthopedic doc. I've seen him for a strained rotator cuff (June 05) and knee surgery in Nov of 2005. He has raced in triathlons in the past and understands the need to "get back out there". Very friendly guy and is asked to lecture at many medical conventions. Finds the time to write articles and perform the 300 or so knee replacements he does annually. Offices in Brookfield and at St. Luke's in Milwaukee. 414-643-8800.

My wife saw Dr. Evanich for hip surgery and he is exceptional.  In the hospital as my wife was getting ready for surgery, all the nurses talked about how Dr. Evanich is the best, blah blah.

Dr. Maccoux is also well thought of, but as a PT once told me, he's a "wanna-be" ortho MD.  That doesn't mean he's bad, but he's not truly a sports medicine orthopedist.  He's a Family Practitioner that specializes in Sports Medicine.  Again, not bad, and he's a great guy.  Just something you should be aware of.
