Pre-race routine:

Put costume together (best described as a Scottish version of the Green Hornet.)
Event warmup:

Time listed was incorrect. I arrived to sign up as the race was getting started.

Comments:

They were about two minutes into the race when I hit the starting line. Course was a three loop course through downtown Gallup. It went through streets, alleys and buildings.

Course markings were a little misleading in points, like they changed their mind on the course set-up. Plenty of volunteers, but some weren't real helpful at pointing out the right direction.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Late start and non-aerodynamic costume.

Event comments:

A first running of a small race. Not the most organized race I've done but I can't hold that against them. I'd run it again.

3 loops for a 5K does seem a bit nutty!   A mile per loop?  They didn't have more than a mile to work with?

I'm not sure I want to know what the Scottish Green Hornet looks like... but congratulations on your race!

No photo available. Costume consisted of green sport kilt, black long sleeve shirt, green beret and green "half" mask. People were shouting "go Green Hornet"...
