Comments: Felt ok but I knew I was stretching it given the fact that I have not been working out as much the last couple of months. I was really hurting the last mile, but I was glad I hung in there. What would you do differently?: Not get quite as lazy after the race season, but given how much I have been working out I'm pretty happy with this result. Post race
Warm down: Ran along with Caroline in the 7 to 12 year old half miler. Ouch. What limited your ability to perform faster: My hip and foot have been hurting for the last week so I had not worked out at all in the last week. Event comments: This is a very fun race. If you want to be really serious you will find some problems, but I had a great time with my family especially with the kids doing the Monster Mash Dash. They have a 2 to 4 year old division!!! Ate raisin bran and cherrios about 2 and a half hours before race. Should of eaten something additional closer to the start of the race.
Usually get to running races to late, but I got there with time to spare for this one. Did a very light jog for about 1/4 to 1/3 of a mile to loosen my muscles enough so I could stretch them better than usual. I think this helped.
