CNN's Nicole Lapin has a great video podcast about the newest running technology... It takes a minute or two to load, but some of the stuff (especially the first thing - a mobile phone/music/mileage tracking service) is pretty cool. I haven't listened to the podcast but check out Bones in Motion (www.BIMactive.com).  If you have a GPS-enabled cell phone you can use it to log your route and automatically transfer it to your online account where it is mapped and measured along with elevation profile.
