Pre-race routine:

hung out with isis in woods hole for an hour or so. a few trips to the restroom, chat with track club friends. nice and easy time.

Comments:

started out in the middle of the pack with isis and some running group buds. chatted a bit until the rollers started at mile 2-3 then we got seperated. Ran the rest of the race with my friend, jurek. Stopped at mile 4 to see my mom!!!! she was cool to be out there cheering us on. Pressed on to pace out the 8 m/m goal.
What would you do differently?:

wanted to push harder for this race but more important to enjoy time wtih friends. we can always run faster on another day but how often can we run surrounded by friends??

Warm down:

chilled down pretty quickly with the afternoon temps.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

10-15 lbs.

Event comments:

nice local race based on the famous falmouth road race course. lots less runners, a whole lot less humidity and gorgeous sunshine and fall temps!!!!
