Someday my cold will run its course and I will actually start training again.  Since I am already sick of the trainer, I am thinking of other training ideas.  I scheduled out my daily and weekly hours from now until Mooseman.  However, during these upcoming nasty months, I consider these activity hours rather than specific swim/bike/run.

So what are you going to do to stay in shape this winter?

For me:

1) I guess I have to actually swim

2) I plan to do as much of my running on trails as possible

3) Mountain biking

4) Cross country skiing

That's about all I got.  Any other suggestions

For good slow twitch strength buidling, i'll probably start rock climbing in the rock gym again. I usually quit during the summer because its not air conditioned and its really easy to slip off holds. Its a really good workout, you leave and your arms are usually shaking.

I plan to keep running right on through the winter as I am training for marathon in Feb.

But, I also would like to do more mountain biking and learn to snowboard. My 13yo is egging me on to get with the swowboarding so I may just need to show him a thing or two.

At some point I need to really get focused on my swimming and learn how to do drills and count laps-maybe even do a race turn.

Cross country skiing sounds fun too
