What would you do differently?:

better gloves, 1 more thin layer. Some way to keep gels warm.

Warm down:

none. went into massage area and had 2 cups of broth and a cup of hot chocolate. Stood by space heater until I saw there were people more sick/hypothermic than me and left. Got a cup of hot chocolate (lukewarm) and a donught and walked to my hotel 4 blocks away. Sat it a tub of hot water and drank cytomax, until I could feel all body parts, then showered, dressed and packed to leave.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Training, mental blocks, hip pain,

Well done.  I was out there also.  What a tough day.  Going out 6th street into the wind with those false flats at around miles 11 and 12 were mentally very tough.  My gps said it was long too.  Great job, forget times, that's a race to be proud to finish!

Hi, Thanks for the kind words!
I never even checked if anyone posted a comment to this race report. Man, it was so cold. and I had to run back the host hotel on top of it all! I ran the 1.5 miles back and got in a hot bath and stayed there. Thankfully we had a late checkout!

You know the night before someone was laughing at me for wearing wool socks in that race. I think it was the best thing i did on race day. My feet were never cold.

That course was very hilly, wasn't it?

Thanks again!
