Every morning I make a variation on this:

1 banana

1.5 c. frozen fruit - I buy many kinds and mix and match all week

scoop soy protein powder (no flavor)

scoup wheat germ/flax seed pulp

about 1/2 c soy milk.

other additives - juices (pom or grapefruit),

I am thinking about that coffee/chocolate one...  yummmm

Here's what I've been doing lately:

I picked up strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, bananas, oranges, plain yogurt, and soy milk.

I froze the strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, so that i would not have to add ice then added about 1/3 cup of each of the frozen berries, 1/2 an orange, 1/2 of a banana, 4 oz. of yogurt, 1 cup of unsweetened soy milk and a teaspoon of honey.

After reading through all of these other recipes I asked my sister what she does at her reasaurant in Quincy MA - Eatin Healthy

I take a 16 oz cup and put the frozen fruit right in it then 2oz lowfat frozen yogurt and a squirt of honey

Antioxident...blueberry raspberry strawberry with cranberry juice
Tropical...pineapple, mango with orange juice and a splash of lowfat coconut milk
Strawberry heaven ...strawberry banana with apple juice
unnamed...pineapple, raspberry, strawberry with apple juice

I drink this every morning:

1 scoop of Whey protein (right now I'm using Muscle Milk)
1 cup of milk
2 eggs
1 tbsp of flax seed oil
1 banana

Followed by a multi-vitamin and usually a bagel.

Tofu (anything but the extra firm should do you....if you want it really thick, extra firm is nice), frozen fruit, and fresh fruit....add soymilk or regular milk if desired to reduce the thickness, and enjoy. I swear that most people never taste the tofu!

Soy milk (plain, not vanilla - less sugar)
Fat Free plan yogurt
frozen: blueberries, strawberries and bananas (any combo of these or just one by itself).

With just banana, I've used peanut butter or a little bit of cocoa powder (or both combined). Very tasty.

We have a smoothie for one meal every day, often for dinner.

For 2 16-oz smoothies:
1 Ripe Banana
Frozen Fruit (pineapple, mango, or mixed fruit)
1 or 2 scoops of "ALIVE" Whole Food Energizer by Nature's Way, vanilla flavor
1-2 Tablespoons of psyllium (if you haven't had psyllium in your life, I highly recommend it!)
Nonfat milk
Flax seed oil

Sometimes I vary it by adding plain yogurt, fresh fruit, soy milk, juice, kefir, tofu or whatever is in the fridge that looks like it would be good. I need to emphasize the psyllium again. It rules.

I like ice in my shakes - I've been drinking this one lately

1 serving Whey protein, handful frozen blueberries, a few pecans, ice, and milk or water.

I think the pecans and ice give it a nice texture.

Great question - and lots of great ideas here!

Mine is similar to what's here - I'd add unsweetened chocolate almond milk (needs splenda) and rice protein powder. (I'm trying to avoid overdoing soy and I can't do dairy). I like to add 2 tbs. of ground flax seed for the fiber and oil (I grind my own in a coffee bean grinder).
If it's after a workout I add 3grams of l-glutamine powder.

I like shakes as they satisfy me without getting me started on an eating binge (I have weight to lose).

I'm a chocolate person.... beware

Water (I don't use a ton b/c I like thick shakes)
1 Cup of uncooked oats
2 Scoops of chocolate protein powder
1/2 Cup of peanut butter
Dash of cinnamon
Ice (again I use a lot of ice b/c I like thick shakes.... not icy shakes... but thick)

One my little tricks is that I keep the blender running after adding oats b/c I've found out that the protein powder will stick to the side of the blender if you turn it off and restart.... I've also discover that thicker you make your shakes the more of a full feeling you will have.

I've never tried these.... But they sound good

I do the following every morning....

1.5 cups cooked instant oats
1 banana
frozen peach, mango or strawberries
3/4 cup no-salt added cottage cheese
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1/2 cup water

Add the protein powder once the blender is going and all other ingredients are in. This prevents it from sticking to the sides.
