Subject: Another British phenomenon - Bubbles and squeak!!

Last week I posted about the Shandy

Well, yesterday I got another peak into British culture.  We have several Brits in our cycling group, so one decided yesterday was a good day for a post ride English breakfast.  The whole deal, eggs, bacon, tomato, mushroom, sausage, blood pudding, and..... bubbles and squeak?  WTF?  It was very very good

Oh, and the Bass Ale tasted MUCh better than Endurox

The term "bubbles and squeak" might be referring to the noises coming out of your GI tack after eating this thing

I think that bubbles and squeak is just popver batter and browned sausage mixed together and baked in a pan. Th edough bubbles and, I guess, the sausage squeaks. It is SO GOOD!

I used to make this for my Aussie bf. He loved it but it didn't do much for me.

Yorkshire pudding, on the other hand, is yummy. And pavlova. The two dishes he introduced me to that were actually good.
