So I just ate (if that's what you'd call it) a BlowPop sucker, and am now enjoying the bubblegum hidden within. I blew a bubble with it, and it just made me happy. Something so small and insignificant, but it felt damn good. What are the tiny little things that make you feel good that you may (or may not) take for granted?

Simple pleasures:

-Walking out of the locker room to the pool area and seeing a lane open.
-Gluten free frozen waffles from Trader Joe's (it's a Celiac thing.)
-Getting to the on ramp to go home at night and finding it not backed up all the down to the street
  I'm on.

Oddly, these next two things are complete opposites but equally satisfying.

-having people over, kids running around, people talking, music playing, noise noise noise.  A full and bustling house.
-after the kids are in bed, Christmas light glow the only thing to see by, no sounds, no TVs or music, nothing.  Peace and quiet.

What about the way that a really nice stew or curry tastes better and better each day after it was made?  How does it do that?  The spices just meld together so beautifully...  Anyway, I love a good curry!

Walking with my dog pre-dusk on a Saturday morning and throwing newspapers on people's porches that landed in their yard.

I think to myself.  I wonder if they know/ponder that someone does this.  Every other day the paper is in their lawn/bushes.  But on Sat...it's on the porch.  That gets me to the next house with a short shot paper.

Mac and Cheese does the same thing. I think it's the bacterial overgrowth. (JK )

- Getting the last large piece of furniture moved into the house.  (OMG, so SO happy right now.)

- Finding the box that has my silverware in it. :-D

- Taking a whole bunch of food and turning it into something even better.

- Red wine and classical music.

- A beautiful smile.

- Good, live music.

- The daily view of the mountains when I used to live in Colorado and Utah.

My brittany lying in the yard, staring in my direction when I return home from work.  Then going "crazy" wiggly when I get out of the car.

The chickens making a soft "cooing" noise when they see me.

Watching a sunset (bonus points for running and watching a sunset).

Anything chocolate.

Hearing a wild turkey gobble (more bonus points for hearing a turkey gobble on a warm spring morning while running).

What everyone else said above.  So cool!!!!!!

edit: this thread because I forgot about my foot being cold.

Sleeping on the couch next to the Christmas tree.

Running through the woods listening to folktronica or trance on the ipod. It makes me feel light and fast.

The genius that is The Daily Show. Every day it makes me laugh.

Eating lunch with Jeff.

My kitties. Who knew cats were so awesome? I've always been a dog person.

Good laughs, good company, and red red wine.

Jumping into the pool before a long swim. It's chilly and I'm going to be hurting, but I love it.

Vacuuming. And emptying the vacuum cannister.  (Strange, I know)

Asiago cheese bagel (toasted) with sun dried tomato cream cheese and a large coffee.

Simple stuff. The best.
