Happy happy joy joy!! 145.0 this week, down .8. I am happy with this since I had gotten up to 148.8 on Monday, and managed to lose3.5 pounds between Monday and today. Now, that may seem like a lot, but I have noticed that my weight always goes up over the weekend, and I don't start losing again till Tuesday or Wednesday. Plus I got my period yesterday adnd until then I was retaining lots of water.

Thanks for that rather "visual" explanation Jess! LOL

I'm down at 155.5 this week, a modest loss to be sure, but like Jess, I had gained a bit over the weekend, probably mostly water from the marathon.  I'll have some work ahead of me this next week.  I had brats for dinner last night (and pasta salad...but no bread!) and tomorrow I'm running an ultra so I'm in for more weight gain over the weekend.  I'll have to train hard this next week to get under 155.5 by next Friday.  If I could just get more motivated to ride that bike of mine, things would be easier!  Have a great weekend everyone, looking forward to seeing how everyone did this weekend!

OK, listen up boys!! I am the only girl here, and ya'll just don't understand!! You would announce it to if your weight was up due to something beyond your control!!  At least I haven't been telling all of you how eating more protein has been making me constipated. Haha!!

173.5 so only down 1/2.

Jes, at least you have valid reasons, I'm not sure why I'm not losing more...oh yea, it could be that I'm eating everything in sight.

169.8 officially.  was a little lighter yesterday but who cares.  Big loss this week but still averaging goal of losing 1 pound per week in the long scheme of things.

176 today.  This week my training has increased a lot and I gained a pound?  I'm like Lobo, it seems like I'm eating everything in sight.  Or, like Jes said I might have to much protein in me  I need more fiber.

I keep forgetting about this thread.  I did weigh myself today and I am up some more since the last weighing, which I kinda expected with more increased training and more weight training.  It looks like the weight is beginning to taper off and should start the decline from here.  With 12 weeks left, I may not make my goal of 170, but if I lose a pound a week, then that will put at the race at 173, which I will be pretty happy with.  Even with the weight gain, I feel much thinner and in better shape, therefore I don't mind the gain (at this point).

Weight as of today:  185

Being sick does have one upside: little appetite + calorie burning fever = 169.6 pounds this week.

I feel ya there.  I think some of my loss this week had to do with the fact that i was sick, only at 1000 calories for a couple days because I had no appetite, and my fever.  So be it though...I'm down to 154.5.  Four and a half pounds to go!

175.2- this morning.  It seems I'm stuck in this area, but the training is going well and I feel good.  We'll see if I can reach my goal without compromising my caloric intake and training.

I'm still at 173.5. Seem to be stuck there. I was hoping the increased swimming would jump start some weight loss...maybe next week.

No official weight this morning because my wife stomped on the display of the scale. I'll probably go pick up a new one at lunch, but it may throw off my progress.

I think I'm going to get an old-fashioned mechanical scale. I just don't trust the damn digital ones. When you can step off and step right back on but the scale shows a pound or more difference, something is funky.

168.6  will do carbo load now for the weekend.  I'm looking forward to 164 which will be 35 pounds lighter than last years race and I'm looking forward to 162 which will be 50 pounds lighter than my all time high.  I picked 159 as my target weight just to get in the 150's but I seriously don't think i have that much fat to lose.  I'll be a pretty solid 162.  Like a chiselled rock.
