Ok... I'll try a little harder... (as steam starts to rise from Cari's head...)

think... its so hot, when you open the door a blast of heat hits you in the face, kinda like when you step inside a sauna...

its so hot, you're sweating like you just ran a 5K and all you did was walk the dog...

Are ya feelin' it yet?

I'm a  wuss as well...I have the day off from work, so I 'could' run outside, but right now, it is 9 below zero - and I treasure my skin a little too much :-)

My thoughts exactly about the coldness BUT McFuzz went for a run this morning OUTSIDE and came back saying it was a great run and he was even sweating a little by the end

As for me, I'll stay with the dreadmill 'til it warms up above 20. Thank you very much!!

Got my workout from yesterday in today and it felt LOTS better than it did yesterday.  I even decided to add AB crunches to the mix!!!

My weight loss goal is looking more and more likely.  I guess the cheerios and raisins that I eat all day long are starting to pay off.  I had to weigh myself 2x to make sure that I had it right the first time!  The scale in the locker romm is like the ones in the doctor's offices.  I'm feeeling pretty pumped right now about how the summer might be shaping up (literally and figuratively).

Wow, I am a wuss!  I don't want to be walking outside if it's below freezing and your standard is above 20?  I'm impressed   Tomorrow hubby and I do 16 miles.  It's going to take forever!!!!

Hey girls!  Whats on the calendar this week?  How are everybodys goals going?  I decided to post all of my weekly goals not just the exercise ones, to keep myself accountable.  I'll see if it helps, having to look at them every time I log on.

I think posting all your goals helps keep you balanced - so I think that's a good idea KLYNNE.  I'm thinking of focusing on the bike this week until Thursday (I've got a DU on sunday and I hate my bike).  What's everyone else doing?

Skiing??? Don't you need snow for that?  I'm so bummed, we are year two here in Virginia of no snow.  Any of you northerners willing to send some  our way?  My boys have about had it with wearing their pjs inside out....

yep, I went skiing last weekend, yesterday, and I hope to go back this weekend.

Ladies, I need to remove myself from the pool of mentors.  I am totally swamped between work, school, skiing, and my imaginary tri training.  I suppose you could keep this thread alive and check in on each other, but the intent of the mentor plan was for an experience tri peep to check in on others and post inspires.  I am severely lacking on the inspire front and am not to good about checking in here either.  Right now my schedule leaves me a very limited amount of time that I can be online and it's not going to change any time soon.

Whatever everyone decides to do, I will still  leave inspires when I can.  There are probably other groups with openings and I don't imagine it would be too hard to hook up with one.  I can check around if you want me to.

Thanks for understanding!

Just wanted to let you guys know that Whizzzzz has adopted me!!!  I would love to stay in touch with you guys.  Good luck with your training.  I may not be on that much this weekend is it is looking to be pretty jam packed full of activities of which very little include training.

Hi gals!  I just wanted to share that I had a great Duathlon yesterday.  Check out my RR.  Also, I'm going to need to get a mentor (aw Ellen... sniff sniff) -  even though I have a lot of BTers checking in on me pretty regularly.  But I'll keep posting on here and keep in touch.  :-)  Keep it up!

Oh Ellen- I'm sorry life has caught up- it's so easy for things to things to pile up and the mentoring is a lot of work.  I'll still check in with you too!  Good luck with everything, and try to make time to tri .

Where is everyone else going?  I could probably still use a mentor (or at least a buddy/group) but the other groups look so... bonded already.  I feel like it would be hard to just jump in.

I may not get much working out done this week- I'm trying to get ready for our trip (we leave Friday, so I'll be out of touch with white squares and no inspires for over a week!), and the big snowstorm is coming tonight!

Keep in touch everyone!

Karen
